24 Hours in Byron Bay

In October 2015, I took a trip to north to the Gold Coast and Byron Bay. This is the second of two short films that I made while I was up there. Byron Bay has a reputation for being a little slice of heaven tucked away between Sydney and Brisbane. It attracts families, retirees, youngsters, and hipsters alike, for a range of different reasons.

This was my second visit to Byron. While the lighthouse is definitely to main draw card of this location, I was pleasantly surprised to be able to catch a pod of migrating humpback whales. (I happened to read in the local newspaper later that a group of kayakers had a real up-close-and-personal experience with these leviathans).
