Beautiful Sunday
If you’re new to Singapore and like live music and concerts, here’s something to that will strike your fancy.
Singapore has an amazing performing arts precinct at Esplanade – The Theatres by the Bay. Held once a month on a Sunday, they hold a free orchestral performance inside the Durian. This series of concerts is known as Beautiful Sunday. Concerts start at 3 p.m. and run for about an hour. Very often, they attract a full house, as they did yesterday. My friends and I lined up at 2 p.m. and got some great seats up front in the box office.
The image above was shot at the performance of 10 June 2018 – an episode called “Movie, Movie, on the Wall”, and featured the Mus’Art Wind Orchestra performing a selection of pieces from soundtracks of Superman, ET, Beauty and the Beast, James Bond, and Rocky.
Whether you live in Singapore, or are visiting and happen to be in town when these concerts are on, I would highly recommend experiencing one of these.
