Blood Moon Rising
On the 4th of April 2015, Melbourne witnessed the third in a series of lunar eclipses that made up a lunar tetrad. During the eclipse, the moon turned red – often referred to by many as a Blood Moon.
This time-lapse short film was made from 3,066 individually photographed images shot using a Sony A7R with a 28-70mm lens, a Sony A6000 with a 55-210mm lens, and a Canon 6D with a 70-200mm lens. The entire lunar eclipse lasted 5 hours and 58 minutes. Here it is for your viewing pleasure in under 2 minutes!
