The Queen’s Hall

In January 2014, after having spent 7 years in Melbourne, I finally made the time to take a tour of the Parliament of Victoria. This heritage listed building has some amazing architecture to take in. Its ceilings are among the most interesting that one will find in Melbourne. This is the easiest one to photography. It is the ceiling of the Queen’s Hall, the sits between the Legislative Assembly, and the Legislative Council.

Constructed in 1856, this hall may be rented out for weddings and birthday parties by prior arrangement. Tours to the Parliament of Victoria are run every hour and are free of charge. When in Melbourne, I highly recommend visiting this building. A visit here requires about 45 minutes, and you will not be disappointed.
