Singapore’s IT Stop

If you’re looking for IT stuff in Singapore, you’re one-stop shopping centre is Sim Lim Square. Singapore is known to be a haven for shoppers, and until recently, Sim Lim Square was only the second best place to buy electronics. (The best place used to be Funan – but the building has been torn down and is being rebuilt). It is now, by default, the best place to fulfil all your IT needs under one roof.

Sim Lim Square is easy to get to. It is directly above Rochor MRT station on the Downtown Line, and is also served by a range of different bus lines.

The shopping centre is six floors of IT and Electronics. You can purchase everything from cables and phone cases, to specialised components for building your own custom PC here.

A tip for tourists, go beyond the first two floors to see what is on offer. Also, be aware that being a free-market economy, vendors are at liberty to sell products for whatever price they see fit. Do your research, and come prepared with a price that you are comfortable paying for the item that you’re seeking.

This is a great place to buy cheap accessories like cables, cases and screen protectors for you mobile devices.
