Urad Dal Hummus

This is a two and a half minute guide to making Urad Dal Hummus.

This is not hummus in the true sense, but a bit of creative liberty that I took with some Urad Dal (split with no skins), some garlic, olive oil, salt, cumin powder, black pepper and lemon juice. The whole item takes about 10 minute to make after the dal has soaked for 4 hours.

Best served cold, with bread, crackers or as a salad dip.

This is high in fibre and protein, and beats any processed dip that you might purchase. It’s easy to make and will keep in the fridge for two days.
